Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement Receives Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative Award
Building on its history of taking local best practices to scale, NRHI will help build an infrastructure to support large-scale health care transformation among clinician practices.
Portland, Maine – The Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI) is one of 39 health care collaborative networks selected to participate in the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative, announced today by Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell. NRHI will receive close to $619,000 in first year funding and an anticipated $2.8 million over the four-year cooperative agreement to provide technical assistance support to help equip clinicians with the tools, information, and network support needed to improve quality of care, increase patients’ access to information, and spend health care dollars more wisely.
To support the NRHI-led SAN, the organization will partner with a number of its RHIC members including Minnesota Community Measurement, Massachusetts Health Quality Partners, Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative, Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement, Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation, Better Health Partnership and Maine Quality Counts to serve as experts and share strategies and best practices across the initiative.
